Sea Salt Chocolate Chip Cookies Traditions

My family does not have a ton of traditions, but those we do have usually revolve around food. Anytime someone is visiting, food is made aplenty. I am visiting my brother this weekend, and bringing chocolate chip cookies.

For years, we had stuck to the traditional Toll House recipe (which of course is fantastic).
But recently have made a few changes. We add chocolate disks in place of 1/2 the chocolate chips. This are E. Guittard which are 72% cacao, very dark delicious chocolate.
Mix as usual.
Bake. The disks melt and kind of spread throughout the cookie.
And sprinkled with the sea salt, just as they come out of the oven. It adds a new and delicious dimension to the cookies.
They don't last long.

Marie, at the lovely Emma Calls Me Mama, is hosting a traditions blog party, visit her blog to see other traditions!

  1. Hello! I LOVE your tradition. Love cookies. Love chocolate. Love the idea of using discs instead of chips. Yum. Can I be a part of your tradition?? =)

Thank you for joining the party!
