I had the opportunity to visit Princeton, NJ this past weekend. My brother and his family live there. It is such an amazing town.
I love the houses. Lots of colonial houses.
These are all right in town, walking distance to the shopping district and the university.
Quite a few of them have large wrap around porches. They are all on tree lined streets.
Many of them have great gardens and flowers.
I saw a pretty hibiscus bush while walking by a cute house.
Someone put a face on this tree. His outer branches look like arms.
You barely have to leave town to see forests and open fields, like this field of queen anne's lace. And Princeton is only an hour train ride to Manhattan! It's an ideal town.
I'll have more pictures from Princeton later!
I'm part of A Southern Daydreamer's Outdoor Wednesday.
Great pictures. I live less than a 30 minute drive from Princeton. It's fun to walk around the town and the university and take pictures.
ReplyDeleteI think I'll go back when it cools down.
Beautiful pictures! I would love to visit that area!

I love to visit old towns and their homes, whether virtually or in person. Thanks for sharing your trip with us. Like the shot of the blue door and the first house with the double steps on the stoop.
ReplyDeleteLOvely pictures. Those old houses are so beautiful
ReplyDeleteHave a nice day

I loved your pictures of the old houses in Princeton. It is a lovely community. It's hard to resist the painted tree. It started my day with a smile. I hope you are having a wonderful day.
ReplyDeleteGreat pictures, I love the old parts of town and old houses. I love their wrap around porches and the blue door is so pretty! Hugs, Cindy S.
ReplyDeleteLove those houses!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful homes! Love the tree face, so cute and unexpected. I bet everyone who passes smiles when they see that. I just love all these old home with the big porches, such a reminder of a gentler time when people actually visited with their neighbors. I plan on doing a post of some of our grand old homes, but not until it cools off some! Happy OW. Kathy
ReplyDeleteAdorable houses. Which one can I move into?
