I have finally seen the owl that I knew was living in my neighborhood. I have heard him many times, but he has remained elusive, until now!
As I was passing by a window, something caught my eye out in the trees, and there he was!
It is hard to see in these pictures, I zoomed and cropped as much as possible. He was very large, and light gray. And beautiful.
I believe this is him - the Great Gray Owl.

ReplyDeleteI am feeling owl envy over here. I've seen lots of spectacular birds - - - eagles, loons, hawks, hummingbirds, rose breasted grosbeaks, etc - - - BUT NEVER AN OWL.
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad you got to see this one, and I'm a tad jealous.

So pretty. We have a pair of hawks nesting way up in our yard for the 2nd year. Fun! thanks so much for sharing these great pics with us.
