These are some vintage things things that I have acquired through my thrifting and antique expeditions.
This is a bridal basket from the late 1800's. It has birds etched on the plate area and the rim. It is in lovely condition for being so old.
Very old Luxor candy tin with a pretty Art Nouveau design. Some of the picture has worn off.
A handful of silver, including some teapot topped demitasse spoons.
This sterling ashtray could have been straight from the set of Mad Men.
It is an engraved award from 1968. I seriously doubt any companies today would give out ashtrays as awards.
I don't think this one was ever used - at least not as an ashtray. It will make a great little trinket dish.
And a cute little brass dog.

ReplyDeleteGreat vintage finds. I always like it when I find a bride's basket. They have charmed me for years. Your basket is unusual with the wide skirt. I've not found one like it.
