White Chairs

I found this white iron chair at a yard sale last weekend, probably the last sales of the season!
I love the curved arms, and I love that it is already white, I don't have to paint it. It doesn't have a seat, but I think I can fix that.
It reminded me of this stack of outdoor chairs I saw in Paris at the flea market, on a trip I took earlier this year. I wanted to bring them home, but it really would not have been cost efficient.

Junkin' Monday Finds

I found some interesting things this weekend. Above is something I picked up because of the interesting scene embossed on it. I had no idea what it was. After a lot of research, I learned it is a silver spoon cup. The scene is a 17th century village, gathered for a snake oil salesman.
The scene shows the villagers listening to the pitch, and it shows the others who have already taken the "treatment" who are being wheeled off in carts. It is very detailed.
I also found this darling gingerbread man cutting board.
A pot that will be perfect for an herb plant next year.
It has lion faces on either side, and is quite worn.
Last, this adorable green eye cat ceramic figure, that is covering one eye with it's paw.
Another successful week!

Stella McCartney

I happened to walk by a Gap store and saw this collection for kids by Stella McCartney. Everything is adorable, especially the campaign shots. I wish they made these in adult sizes (at Gap Kids prices!).

White Vintage Hat

I recently found this vintage white velvet hat at an estate sale.
It came in it's original box, with a velvet pillow and long netting/veil.
It even had a pretty pearl hat pin attached.
Lots of very pretty bead detailing, and velvet rosettes. The hat is in perfect condition.
The box even has its sales tag still attached, unfortunately the writing is too faded too read.
My guess it that it played part in a wedding in the 40's, and probably was not worn since!

This Weeks Finds

I finally scored a dress form! I had been looking for one for quite some time, and had even passed some by, only to be sorry later. But it all worked out. This one is in very good shape. And it is adjustable. It was $20 - I think that it is pretty good price.
Here it is wearing a vintage dress I found a few weeks ago.
I also found this great old lemon lime squeezer, probably from the 50's.
This is a scarf pin or broach. It caught my eye because of the tiny unusual faces. First I thought they were lions, but now I think they are maybe devils (I know, Halloween is over, but I couldn't pass it by). Click on image to get a better look...any ideas to what they may be?
An owl wind chime. Tiny owls hang from the large one, and they make a very pretty noise.
