Recently I picked up a bag of jewelry at a thrift store. They sometimes bag up the stuff that has been around for a while. You don't really know what you are getting.
When I got home, I sorted the lot by color, this is my white group.
Much of the bag consisted of lone clip earrings, pieces that have a flaw, or missing a stone.
But overall, there were some good pieces.
I have been trying to think of something to do with the lone earrings and brooches, which made up most of the lot.
I found these great brooch bouquets at Fantasy Floral Design.
These are meant for weddings, but I think they would be great sitting in a vase.
I also came across brooches used as hair pieces.
Or attached to a bag.
Used as pretty centerpiece in gift wrapping.
I think I have enough ideas to use up this lot of brooches!

What a pretty white post! I love the bouquet idea and you are right, in a vase, lovely!
ReplyDeleteWow...you have a lot of loot there!! I love anything pearly!! I know a lot of bloggers love to tinker with jewelry (have you seen the aisle's in Michael's for creating beautiful pieces?). And of course, what fun it would be to come with ideas for embellishing. Whoo Hoo!

Looks like you hit the jackpot! I have seen a brooch pillow too. You have so many creative options. Wouldn't one of these look elegant as a clasp on a handbag! I love the inspiration! Thanks,

These are all great. I think the ideas are endless. One thing I've done with them is add them to a lace stocking(I know Christmas isn't for a while, bit it's an idea). have fun!

Love the White Jewelry Treasures & the idea of the Bouquet.... I use to be a Floral designer & would add Pearls & Beads into the Bouquet, but to add an Old Family Brooch to the Flowers would be Wonderful... I can picture a dried Bridal Bouquet with the Pins incorporated, Beautiful

Oh I love that shiny jewelry. I love it even better when there are no matches, that way I don't have to feel guilty for splitting up a pair when crafting. You are one lucky girl to find such a great amount of pretties.
ReplyDeleteGreat pieces. What a timely post....I just got an e-mail from my sister today asking for my help in finding brooches and earrings for a friend of hers who is making a flower brooch bouquet for her daughter's wedding. I had never heard of such a thing before today and now I read about it twice!!
