Welcome to the Lazy Peacock giveaway! If you have read my blog, you know how much I love silver serving pieces, especially flatware.
I am giving away one place setting of mismatched flatware.
They are all silverplate.
Includes:
1 salad or dessert fork - Birds of Paradise 1923 by Community;
1 dinner fork - Jewell 1916 by Arion;
1 knife - pattern unknown by WM Rogers, Wallington CT.;
1 soup spoon - Queen Bess 1946 by Oneida Tudor Plate;
1 teaspoon - Duchess 1923 by Oneida Tudor Plate
This is a closeup of the knife handle. It has a monogram on it, could be several different letters, depending which way you look at it, you can decide what it is. (Doesn't have to be your monogram to enjoy it!)
Closeup of salad fork Birds of Paradise pattern. I think the birds look like peacocks!
If shiny and new is your thing, this giveaway probably isn't for you. This flatware is all in vintage condition. Very usable, but well worn.

I'd like to start collecting flatware ... Please enter me!
ReplyDeleteI've just started collecting old silver too. I prefer the tarnished best. I just saw on a tv show that people are not turning silver pieces upside down & using them to either hold labels for their herbs or painting chalkboard pain on the spoons and writing the name on there. Pretty cool idea, I thought! :)
ReplyDeleteCorrection...they are, not 'are not'.
