Victorian Silver

Over the past few weeks, I've been to a few Antique shows, shops and estate sales.  I found some great stuff!  Lots of Victorian pieces.  All of these pieces will be making there way onto my Etsy site in the next week or so.

Lots of flatware, most of them are monogrammed,

or engraved with names or dates.

The above spoon engraved "Dora".

Fabulous 3 piece set, sugar, creamer and waste bowl.  I think it was a wedding gift given in 1907.

Each piece is engraved Mr. & Mrs Joe. Fink Stanton '07.

One of my favorites.  The rare, hard to find Lettuce Fork - monogrammed with a "C".

Very sweet little piece,

Monogrammed with an "N" and the dates 1872 & 1987.

 Great little brass sundial.

And a brass key hook with a family of horses.

  2. Aha!!! a person after my own heart. There is so much silver out there just waiting for us to find it! I work really hard to give it all a good home. I don't dare start looking on the internet...I limit myself to garage/estate/tag sales and thrift shops. My sweet hubby will tell you that I do a pretty good job of "adopting" unloved pieces in our area:^)
What do you use to clean all of your silver?
    Good luck with your hunt,
    J
