Books, Books and More Books

Even though I've decided I do not need any more books, I ended up at a book sale, dragging a box of books home with me.

I really love old books, and just couldn't leave some of these behind.

Also found a great baby cup with a pretty flower design,
and a couple of spoons.

Most of the books were from the late 1800's early 1900's. I love the covers on these - the Fortune Telling book is form 1890. It's in terrible shape, unfortunately.

A couple of kids books from the 20's.

Golden Gems of Penmanship Self Instruction, 1884. This one has great pictures and writing examples.

And here is the rest of them!

I just love old books and I have a very hard time leaving any of them behind also.

    Especially like the penmanship book....

Maybe because I have such poor penmanship?!?

  5. I love the books with the peacock illustrations. My guest bedroom has a peacock theme, so I'm drawn to them. I will be back to visit you often!
